Master Gardeners program: Trees in the Home Landscape

LAWRENCE—Dr. Jason Grabosky, renowned tree expert and Professor in Urban Forestry at Rutgers University’s School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Department of Ecology Evolution and Natural Resources, will share his vast knowledge of trees in the home landscape on Wednesday evening, Oct. 10. The program, sponsored by the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County, will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Public Library, 1 Justice Alito Way, Hamilton Township.

The talk is free to the public. Seating is limited and preregistration is strongly recommended. Register by email at mgofmcprograms@gmail.com or call the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Mercer County office at 609-989-6830.

As an enthusiastic tree advocate, Dr. Grabosky will talk about trees suitable for the New Jersey landscape. He will go through the steps homeowners should take in selecting the right tree for the right place and provide maintenance tips for ensuring their healthy growth.
