Historic Sites
Mercer County is at the heart of the American Revolution. Battlefields and monuments can be found in every corner of Mercer, including Washington Crossing State Park that marks the place where General George Washington led his troops to victory on that fateful Christmas night in 1776.
But, Mercer County’s mark on the history of our nation didn’t stop there. Mercer County continued to influence our American way of life for the next 150 years thanks to companies like the Roebling Iron Works that powered the Industrial Revolution.
When you visit Mercer, you’ll learn how our community shaped America.
