Despite our location right in the heart of business and industry, more than 27 percent of Mercer County is preserved open space. Our County has 10,000 acres of parklands rich with both passive and active recreation opportunities, along with another 16,000 acres of farms, forests, and meadows. You can hike the Sourland Mountain Range, play a round of golf, take a boat out on the lake, and pick your own vegetables, all within the borders of Mercer County.

In addition, the region continues to maintain and expand its outstanding and pristine recreation spaces
