Youth Programs and Services
The County of Mercer offers a variety of programs and services directed to youth and young adults. More information is available about each area by linking to the web pages.
Division of Youth Services
The Mercer County Division of Youth Services provides comprehensive programs and services to address the issues of at-risk youth through age 18 through the allocation of County and State Juvenile Justice Commission funds to support youth and their families along the continuum of services from prevention through re-entry.
4-H Youth Development
Mercer County 4-H, part of the Cooperative Extension of Mercer County, offers a variety of programs including community clubs, after-school and summer programs, school enrichment, and special interest and training programs.
Library System
The Mercer County Library System offers a variety of programs for youth at its nine local branches.
Park Commission
The Mercer County Park Commission offers a wide range of programs for youth at its many parks and facilities.
Technical Schools
The Mercer County Technical School District provides rigorous career and technical education programs for full-time, shared time or Career Prep students in grades nine through 12.
Teen Arts Festival
The Mercer County Teen Arts Festival is a comprehensive arts education program held annually on the West Windsor Campus of Mercer County Community College. The event is open to all Mercer County public, private, parochial and home school students in middle and high school, grades six through 12, ages 13 to 19.
Youth Career Connection (YCC)
YCC, operated by Mercer County’s One-Stop Career Center, serves young people ages 17-24 by providing career counseling, occupational training, High School Equivalency preparation, paid internships and employment assistance.
