In order to educate the residents of this county as to the laws and regulations so they may better protect themselves, we have speakers available for any civic or educational group which requests it. We also present a special Elder Fraud program to Senior Groups. In addition, members of the department appear frequently on radio and television to provide additional consumer protection information to the public. To schedule a speaker for your group or to receive literature, please call (609) 989-6671.

Consumer Affairs maintains brochures that are available to all county residents. They include such topics as safety, home improvements, car repair, credit scams, telemarketing fraud and Internet fraud.

In addition, Consumer Affairs participates in Task Forces to protect our residents and children from harmful products such as defective toys, flammable clothing and recreational equipment.

For additional information visit the Consumer Product Safety Commissions' (CPSC) website.
