Peace Corps Volunteer, Raymond McCormack

Raymond McCormack is a Mercer County native who participated in the Hatchery program at Howell Living History Farm as a child. In 2017 he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Political Science and a concentration in International Relations. After graduating, Raymond focused his attention back to Howell Living History Farm, a facility where he developed learning on farming, cultivation and an understanding of a variety of animals and how to utilize available resources.

On April 1, 2019, Raymond left the United States to begin his two-year service tour as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia. He is currently serving as an Agriculture and Forestry specialist in the Linking Income, Food and Environment (L.I.F.E.) program. The program involves working with the people of Zambia to plant trees, generate income for the community and promote biodiversity. On behalf of the Mercer County Park Commission and Howell Living History Farm, we would like to thank Raymond for his outstanding efforts and are excited to hear more from his experience over the next two years.
