Mercer County Park:

The Mercer County Park Commission Tennis Facility consists of six indoor tennis courts, 22 outdoor tennis courts, and four pickleball courts. The Mercer County Tennis Facility is operated and maintained by the Mercer County Park Commission. The tennis facility encompasses 19 acres of beautiful Mercer County Park. The six-court indoor facility has a second-floor viewing lounge overlooking the courts. Stadium seating is available on the premier outdoor court.

Mercer County Park Tennis Center Hours:

  • Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • Friday-Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Hopewell Valley Golf Club (Tennis Courts): For reservations call (609) 639-9100 x 1. During the offseason call (609) 448-8007 (Oct-April).

  • Two Platform Tennis Courts with blended lines for Pickleball

  • 8 a.m. to dusk

2024 ID Tennis/Pickleball/Platform ID card costs:

Mercer County adult residents may purchase a 2024 tennis/pickleball ID for $80. Mercer County junior/senior rate is $40 for the year and the non-resident ID card is $120. Court time runs 90 minutes. Mercer Tennis/Pickleball/Platform ID card holders may reserve a court three days in advance.

  • Mercer Tennis League Players: If both players/teams agree to play their league matches at Hopewell, they will be permitted to do so, otherwise they must be played in Mercer County Park.

Outdoor Court Cost/Reservations:

  • Non-ID Card Holders at MCP: $8 per individual  
  • Non-ID Card Holders at HVGC: $10 per individual  
  • There is no cost for valid 2024 Mercer County Tennis/Pickleball/Platform ID card holders. 
  • Three days in advance for all card holders (card holders will have access to www.courtreserve.com an online reservation system)
  • One day in advance for all other players

History & Establishment: 

The first Mercer County Indoor Tennis Center was completed in October of 1967 located adjacent to the Trenton/Mercer County Airport in West Trenton. Arthur Ashe, Clark Graebner, Manuel Santana and Gene Scott participated in the Dedication Exhibition.

The Mercer County Outdoor Center opened in April of 1981. Vincent Van Patten, Mary Lou Piatek, Jay Lapidus and Marty Devlin participated in the Dedication Exhibition.

On October 20, 2008 the Indoor Center in West Trenton was replaced by a brand new six-court state-of-the-art complex adjacent to our outdoor tennis site at Mercer County Park in West Windsor.

The facility was the recipient of the U.S.T.A.‘s prestigious 2018 National Outstanding Facility of the Year award. The award was presented in New York City during the 2018 U.S. Open. Selection criteria included: overall layout and adaptation of site, excellence of court surface and lights, ease of maintenance, accommodations, aesthetics, amenities and programming.
