Nina D. Melker has been in the banking industry for the past 40 years with a range of experience in retail and lending. She spent 23 years at Yardville National Bank where she was First Senior Vice President in charge of Community Banking. As head of the Community Banking division, Nina maintained a strong presence in the community, diversifying her time between monitoring sponsorships and donations from the bank in the community as well as serving on many boards and committees. She built and monitored a multi-million dollar lending portfolio. She has worked at The Bank of Princeton, and Hopewell Valley Community Bank, and in November 2015, joined the team at First Choice Bank. In 2018, FCB was acquired by Berkshire Bank where Nina worked as a Private Banker, assisting clients with personalized service for all of their banking needs. In August of 2021 she joined William Penn Bank where she is a Private Banker, assisting clients with personalized serviced for all their banking needs.
Nina continues to be active in the community, serving on numerous boards and committees. Some of the boards and committees she serves on include RWJ Barnabas Hamilton Foundation, where she is the Chair as well as serving as Vice Chair for the Board of Trustees, John ) Wilson Hamilton Neighborhood Center , Hamilton Education Foundation, Clara's Heart, Ryan’s Quest, Iron Mike Foundation and Miracle League of Mercer County. The community has rewarded her with several awards including Business Person of the Year from Nottingham High school FBLA, the Community Compassion Award by Contact of Mercer County, the Humanitarian Award from Kidsbridge, the Person of the Year from Hamilton Area YMCA, and the Community Service Award from the Iron Mikes/Trenton Catholic Academy. In 2014, she was inducted into the YWCA NJ Women’s Hall of Fame and, in 2016 she was installed into the Italian American National Hall of Fame. She had the honor of being the Grand Marshal of the Hamilton Township Columbus Day Parade in 2011.
Nina has been married to her husband Michael for 35 years, and together they raised two beautiful daughters, Jillian and Jennifer, who both live and work in Mercer County.
