January 14, 2016 - County Clerk's Office Moe Update (Public Users and Title Searchers of Mercer County Clerk's Office)
The Mercer County Clerk's office will be moving from its present location to 240 West State Street in Trenton, in January 2016, for approximately two years. The Mercer County Improvement Authority is beginning renovations to the Courthouse Annex, where the County Clerk's Office is currently located.
The Courthouse Annex, located at 209 South Broad Street, is being renovated in order to bring it up to modern day safety standards. This move has been planned for many months and will be the biggest move in the history of the Mercer County Clerk's office. During that time, all of the County Clerk's services, and its public record room, will be available to the public at the 240 West State Street location (which was previously a Holiday Inn hotel).
The relocation is scheduled to take place over the weekend of January 15 through 18th and we are expected to be open for regular business on January 19th to the public. Updates will be shared on our website as we have them. Here is our current schedule:

- THURSDAY, January 14th- Public Record Room/Search Room will close at 4pm.
- FRIDAY, January 15th- COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE CLOSED
(County Connection Office in Hamilton Township remains open for passports). - FRIDAY, January 15th, COUNTY CLERK'S ONLINE SEARCH SYSTEM- to Shut Down 8am.
- MONDAY, January 18th - COUNTY CLERK'S ONLINE SEARCH SYSTEM- Planned to resume working by 8am (check website for updates on this).
- TUESDAY, January 19th- COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE RE-OPENS TO PUBLIC
At the new location, the Mercer County Clerk's office will be providing its public services on the sixth and seventh floors of the 240 West State Street. The sixth floor is where you can record property, obtain a passport, register a small business, be sworn in as a notary public. Our public record room will also be located on the sixth floor. The seventh floor will house the Clerk's Elections Department and ID area. On that floor, you can complete your vote by mail application and obtain a ballot for the upcoming 2016 elections, or file a nominating petition to run for office.
Our Hamilton location, the Mercer County Connection, will remain open on Friday and Saturday, and we will continue to provide passport services during our relocation. However, on those two days NO credit cards will be accepted at the Hamilton location.
I, along with my staff and others in the County of Mercer, will do everything possible to make the transition of the County Clerk's Office as smooth as possible. We aim to continue to provide the fast and efficient services to our constituents that the County Clerk's office provides on South Broad Street in Trenton.
