Vote By Mail Information:

Vote by Mail APPLICATIONS are below at bottom of this page with instructions in English and Spanish.

Or, you can download a vote-by-mail  application at nj.gov/state/elections/vote-by-mail.shtml IN MULTIPLE LANGUAGES.   

Or, you can visit us in person at the County Clerk's Office at 209 S. Broad St. Trenton during regular business hours, fill out an application and pick up a ballot.

 There are videos linked on "how to complete my vote-by-mail ballot" (left tab) in English and Spanish. 

Also, voters may now apply for a vote-by-mail ballot when registering to vote- on the same form.

 What you need to know:

  • You can vote with a "Mail-In" ballot for any reason.
  • If you choose, you may get a mail-in ballot for one election or;
  • For all all future elections, until otherwise requested.
  • YOU CAN NOW TRACK YOUR BALLOT AT: Track My Ballot
  • The County Clerk cannot accept faxed or emailed copies of an Application for Vote by Mail Ballot, unless you are a Military or Overseas Voter, since an original signature is required.
  • A vote by mail ballot will be sent to you once we receive your application. It will contain a ballot, a certification envelope, a return envelope, and instructions. If any part of your vote by mail ballot is missing, you should contact the County Clerk’s Office at 609-989-6494 to request that we replace it. 

Authorized Messengers:

  • Cannot be a candidate in the election.
  • Must be a family member or a registered voter in that county.
  • Cannot serve as messenger or bearer for more than THREE (3) qualified voters per election.
  • Must sign each mail-in ballot application and show a photo ID in the presence of the County Clerk or County Clerk designee.
