'Bugs Rule!' Insect Festival set for Sept. 9 at Mercer Educational Gardens
Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County will sponsor the 2023 “Bugs Rule!” Insect Festival on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Mercer Educational Gardens, 431A Federal City Road, Hopewell Township. The festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free.

National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Mercer and the surrounding area from 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, to 6 a.m. Friday, July 28, and an Excessive Heat Watch from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, July 28. County Executive Brian M. Hughes reminds residents that many cooling sites are open.
