Mercer offers fresh-produce funds to qualifying older adults
Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes announced that starting June 1, the County will accept applications for the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, which provides funding for the purchase of fresh, nutritious, unprepared foods like fruits, vegetables and herbs to low-income older adults.

Hughes Administration conducts full-scale emergency drill at airport

Mercer County eyes Rosedale Road speed limit reduction
The speed limit along Rosedale Road (County Route 604) in Princeton would be lowered from 40 mph and 45 mph to a consistent 35 mph between Province Line Road and Elm Road under an ordinance that Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes recently presented to the Board of County Commissioners.

Mercer Bike Drive will support Boys & Girls Clubs
Mercer County and the Park Commission will host their third annual Bike Drive on Saturday, April 8. The County takes your old bikes -- no matter the condition -- and gives them to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County Bike Exchange, which repairs donated bikes and sells them at modest prices.

Hughes proposes Bear Tavern Road speed limit reduction
The speed limit along a section of Bear Tavern Road (County Route 579) in Hopewell Township, including the Bear Tavern Elementary School zone, would be lowered by 5 to 10 mph under an ordinance that Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes presented to the Board of County Commissioners last week.
