    Howell Farm ready for annual Plowing Match

    Howell Living History Farm will hold its 36th annual Plowing Match on Saturday, Aug. 31, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Eight teams of draft animals from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York are entered in the match, which tests the performance of farmers and their horse teams.

    The Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will start the replacement of the bridge on Washington Crossing-Pennington Road (County Route 546) over Woolsey Brook in Hopewell Township on Tuesday, Aug. 20. The structure is located between Scotch Road and Bear Tavern Road.
